These 3 guys belong in jail. If you know them, contact the san diego pd. by mikep500in videos

Because there was nothing to report until the last 4 seconds. You think the police are going to show up to a call "some guys are talking smack to each other. Looks like half of them are about to walk away. Still, better send a unit in case they don't walk away."

And just justification is "Space!"

Anyone who is really interested in space exploration would want the most science per dollar you can get. That means competition.

It's very exciting but I'm just waiting for the first time there is an accident. The government can blow people up without repercussions, but as soon as someone dies from SpaceX it will be outlawed.

Blizzard Breached: 'Diablo III' Player Accounts Hacked, Items and Gold Stolen - Forbes by teddyadornoin Diablo

[–]umilmi81 -3 points-2 points ago

Look at the large number of people reporting items being stolen. Let's say Blizzard is right. They claim this is perfectly normal for when they release a game. Whenever they release a game it is followed by mass claims of people who had their password phished complaining about losing items. If Blizzard knows there are massive phishing exploits, why don't they require regular password changes? Or at least require a password change for any account that they suspect is compromised.

Yes, the inventory was empty and I had zero gold. They didn't take items I had equipped or stash though. There was an unknown player in my recently played games list which fits with the hacked theory rather than a bug.

I use a schema. I have a standard password. Lets say my standard password is "qwert123". That's not it, but lets say it is. Next I prefix my standard password with something unique about the site. So for reddit the unique thing is the alien. So I would make my password alienqwert123

http://us.blizzard.com/store/search.xml?q=authenticator

It's a little key thingie that spits out a number every 30 seconds. The server knows what the number on the thingie should be based on what time it is. It asks you the number. You get the number from the thingie and type it into the login screen. It is an extra layer of protection for your account because not only do they need your password, they need your authenticator too.

Well just read the blue post from Blizzard themselves. They are just parroting what Blizzard is saying. Blizzard is taking a very nonchalant attitude towards this whole thing. They're acting like this is normal every time they release a new game. Well if they know there is mass password stealing going on everytime they release a game then they should force passwords to be changed before they release a game.

It's not like it'd be that hard. Blizzard only releases games once maybe twice a decade.

No, I only have 5 people on that social tab. 4 real life friends in the "friends" category and one guy named "NoNo" in the recently played with category. His character name is just random letters. I assume he's the one who took my gold and items. I have never played a game with this guy.

No, but this reddit thread is full of people who had authenticators who were also hacked.

I was hacked. I only play with IRL friends. I had an unknown person in my "recently played with" list. Never played a game with this person. Don't know how he got in my list.

I didn't play with anyone other than 3 friends I know in real life. I think the attacks are random.

People are getting hacked even if they have authenticators. This means the hack isn't coming from the client. I was hacked. I changed my password after, but I don't think it matters. I think the attacker(s) have a bot that is able to spoof authenticated traffic and pull your character into an authenticated game without your permission and then somehow trade all your gold and backpack items off of you automatically.

I don't think there is anything you can do to stop it. It's just a matter of luck. Sounds like Blizzard is finally admitting there is something wrong and are looking into it. Hopefully it will get sorted out shortly. I don't even care if I get my items and gold back. I just want to know that as I continue investing my time in this game that I'm not again going to log in and find myself broke.

Anyone think the hacking is done on Blizzard's end? by darkknightttin Diablo

[–]umilmi81 2 points3 points ago

A bot, that's who. One theory is that a bot is spoofing authenticated traffic and "pulling in" characters and stripping them of their inventory. I doubt it's being done manually by an individual. The reported incidents far exceeds what one person, or even a small group of people, could do.

And what exactly does "be careful" mean. I can't think of any way you can defend yourself. If they are simply spoofing already authenticated game sessions then you are fucked and there is nothing you can do about it.

Yeah, I'm upset by how nobody is taking this seriously. My account was hacked too. I posted on the Diablo forums with about 30 other people who also said they had gold and items stolen. The only blue response in the entire thread was "these people were just irresponsible with their passwords, there is no security breach."

Give me a break. I'm a software developer. I have a different passwords for each online account. I run nightly scans with Malwarebytes and Windows Defender. You're telling me someone keylogged me and the 30 other people in that thread and all they stole from me was my internet gold? They could have drained my checking account if I was the source of the breach.

Clearly the servers or the authentication system has been compromised. I've been reading everyone's account of what's happening and there seems to be a pattern. Sometimes it's just items and gold, and the cache is left alone. Sometimes the cache and the character is stripped too. But everyone says it was only their last played character that was robbed, none of the other characters.

If you look at your "last played with" list in the social tab you will see a strange account. For me it was a user named "NoNo" with a character name of just random letters.

I don't know what you can do to defend against this. Personally my plan is when I'm done for the night I'll put my stash on my main and briefly log in as a new character in the hopes the hack only works against the last played character.

The magazine can't be released without the use of a "tool". They are upset that the size of the hole was purposely designed so that the tip of a .223 bullet can reach in and activate the release. But so could a screw driver, a nail, a screw, a pen, or anything else pointy.

Can we call them progressives instead of liberals? I get so annoyed when I tell someone I'm a classical liberal and they think I'm a Democrat.

The shortage of men and resources are basically the reason they couldn't make more than a handful in the first place. Perhaps I should have said we're lucky the Nazis didn't invent these things near the beginning of the war.

To which you could argue the allies would have quickly invented a counterpart. That's the risk of playing "what if".
