Is this something that a lot of people who go to prison celebrate? Their freedom day? (Genuinely curios)

I don't play NS but have never seen him grab it in professional dota 2 so far (mostly watching vods on joindota). I'm pretty sure AC is a luxury/situational item for all STR carries.

After spending my entire weekend doing nothing but play the C9 beta, I finally got an Ex rating on an instance! :D by sauceLegsin gaming

the ranking system just has to do with how many time s you've run this map on that difficulty level. this was my first time running that map on master level.

I am new to Dota 2. Could someone fill me in with the basic how-to-play? by thelargestwatermelonin DotA2

Hey man, I just found this link over in the sidebar. There are a few other good ones like reddit's compiled guide to dota 2 and w/e.

The 2 pieces of advice i'd really like to stress is to play extremely safely/defensively at first until you know for certain that when you dive in for a kill, you will get it and get out with your own life. There is nothing more frustrating than a newbie team mate that feeds the other team. Also, ALWAYS have a scroll of teleport on you. This wins/loses games on the reg.

No one really gets a Linkin's on Venge but I love to grab it up after my treads and mek. Makes you pretty much unkillable.

As someone who also listens to a lot of Metal, I can answer your question by telling you you're probably too closed minded to ever understand.

Haha I feel ya, it does seem like that sometimes, but I know there are a lot of people in the /r/electronicmusic and /r/dubstep subreddits, and maybe some of them play sc2.

These days there are so many different subgenres of dubstep that its impossibly to say whats bad or good, everyone just likes something different. I think this mix is a great example of a bunch of the different styles, give it a try!

I recently came over to this game from LoL and I have a couple questions regarding strategy by mcoreein DotA2

[–]sauceLegs 0 points1 point ago*

The cool thing about dota is that you can play a few different styles that are all very viable. Generally you need a hard carry who will either solo mid or top(or bottom if you're radiant). They only get this solo lane if your team has a jungler like in LoL. If you dont have a solo lane for them you want to get a support hero to just sit in that lane and deny all of your creeps. They should let the carry take all last hits and pretty much just make sure he stays safe. This hero should buy the courier and constantly keep the river warded. For the middle champ, I personally like to use a ganker (Bloodseeker is one of the best for pubs ;D). Getting them up to level 6 and roaming as soon as possible is really great imo. For the other two you have a lot of options. You could grab another carry and support, carry and ganker, carry and lane pusher or dual lane pusher for extra fun. I really love playing a hard pushing style like venomancer broodmother offlane.

Hope i'm not totally wrong, GL HF!

edit: Another great way to learn team comps is to watch pro dota vods on joindota.com or something. They always explain why the teams make the bans and picks. I think tobi wan knows what he's talking about for the most part
