You can save time if you use a Makefile description and make utility.

There are two utilities for that: latexmk and latexMake.

You can add rules to specific file conversions/creation.

Some programs can't be uninstalled because they are running services.

 • First Step: stop the related service and deactivate auto run on boot.
 • Second Step: Reboot computer
 • Third Step: Try uninstall again.

8.1 Non-linear hypothesis, how did he get 5000 for square and 170,000 for cubic features by urmyheartBeatStopRin mlclass

Your formula n!/(r! (n-r)!) is to take r elements from n without repetition.

If you have 3 input parameters, you have x_1², x_1x_2, x_1x_3, x_22 , x_2x_3, x_32 (6 combinations).

About features as a combination of other features: it's a trick to always use linear ecuations creating "fake features". So gradient and cost functions are always the same expression.

Can someone explain to me why I should care about Stallman's four freedoms? by occupyearthin opensource

[–]pepepe 1 point2 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

Stallman's freedoms are programmer freedoms

That's wrong. Freedoms are user freedoms. Original developers are required to keep the rights of users. Original developers voluntarily reduce their rights to ensure the rights of users.

Freedom 0 protects user of licences saying "this program cannot be used in Europe" or "this program cannot be used by military pourposes". You can use the program without any limitation.

I ignore terms of service entirely anyway.

So you are following Rule 0 in no FreeSoftware. You break licences in no FreeSoftware but FS is granting you to do it.

Freedom 1: Again is a user freedom. Freedom of "look inside" if you want. if you don't have the skills you can hire someone. Free Software is about freedom. it isn't about money. If you have lots of money you can't pay anybody to look inside Mac Os or windows and it's possible in linux. You can choose to use or not this freedom but always is going to be your right.

Freedom 2:

I pirate things, functionally it makes no difference what licence they come under, I will share it anyway.

The main difference is one is your right and another is a crime/offense.

Freedom 3: Ok, you are not a programmer. But you can be using programs that require this rule. Firefox it's an evolution of Netscape Navigator. Chromium is free version of Chrome, Libre Office come from Open Office, Open Office come from StarOffice and so on.

Each time you, as user, use a program that is a fork of another, you do it by freedom 3

Is machine learning a saturated field? by marshmallowsOnFirein MachineLearning

Face recognition has lot of problems. There is a lot of space to improve that algorithms. OpenCV has lot of functions but not EVERY idea.

I see ML as a "substitution" of AI. Statistics applied to unknown problems.

Do you think that everything can be learned by machines has been learned already?

How can I prevent sweaty palms when doing coin magic? by swordbuddhain Magic

[–]pepepe 0 points1 point ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

what is the problem? the coins fall because de sweat on hand or you don't like to have sweaty hands.

For the first, I don't recommend wash your hands just before of performance. The natural greasy from hand increases friction with coins. If you want more adherent hands you can use wax (for clean/protect forniture and wood).

For the second. You will have sweaty hands if you have more tension in the hands of the necessary to make the passes. This is corrected with more practice and experience.

Is it Maybe "Cielito lindo"? It's a very popular mariachi song. lyrics can change among different singers but chorus is same in all:

"ay, ay ayay,
Canta y no llores
porque cantando se alegra,
cielito lindo, los corazones"

aprox translation: (ay, ay ayay, sing and don't cry because singing it will be happier, sweetest darling, the hearts)

The dificulty is how to switch decks to show a normal deck at the end (or the begining) but if you are two is easier to create a distraction

How can i check if the game of fifteen puzzle arrangement is solvable or not? by [deleted]in puzzles

Doesn't work:

Original position:

1 2
3 _

Imposible position:

2 1
3 _

parity: 1 (from "1") + 1 (from "2") = 2 even but it's not solvable

Posible position:

2 3
1 _

parity: 1 (from "1") + 1 (from "2") + 2 (from "3")= 4 even but it's solvable

Imposible position:

1 3
2 _

parity: 2 (from "2") + 2 (from "3")= 4 even but it's not solvable.

Same parity number from last example and before-last example but one is solvable and other no. Parity number can't be measured as said.

Why doesn't the STL have an unordered alternative to vector with O(1) erase and O(1) "insert"? by beguiledfoilin cpp

[–]pepepe 3 points4 points ago

sorry, this has been archived and can no longer be voted on

If you only want to keep values and the order is not relevant...

unorderer_set

or unorderer_multiset

The template class describes an object that controls a varying-length sequence of elements of type const Key. The sequence is unordered. Each element serves as both a sort key and a value. If you have an optimal hash function, the number of operations performed during lookup, insertion, and removal of an arbitrary element does not depend on the number of elements in the sequence. Moreover, inserting an element invalidates no iterators, and removing an element invalidates only those iterators which point at the removed element.
