If we examine the origins of Nicki Minaj's music career we can see that it is obvious that she is a talented person. Her popularity exploded further after Kanye West released his track "Monster" which she was featured on. Then "Super Bass" drops and becomes a massive hit. However this was a dumbed-down version of Nicki Minaj, a simple generic pop song. Now we go to stupid hoe. Its an critique of pop culture. The follow up to "Super Bass" was the opposite of what most fans expected. Featuring an experimental beat Minaj pushed the boundaries of what radio music is. At the end of the video she proclaims "I am the female Weezy" Showing the conscious parallels between her and little wayne, another artist who gave up talent to make money.
