Gonma get flak for this, but I found the conyrols clunky and the camera to be disorienting. Still like the game, but dont feel like it aged well at all. Not after the stealth that polished by splintercell.

Exactly, that was the point of starting Mass Effect. They wanted to be able to make whatever stories they wanted, and have control over the character's in a sci-fi universe. (contrary to how KoTOR worked, where they had to get Lucas approval)

The thing about being as deep as NGE is that you sacrifice other things in order to get there. The last episodes only focused on going down the rabbit hole, and seemed to be striving for nothing other than TRYING to be symbolic and deep. They succeeded, but I think it was a little too obvious.

Something that is deep and symbolic shouldn't have to slap you every two minutes and yell "Hey, look at how fucking deep and meaningful this is! CHECK OUT MY FUCKING METAPHOR!"

Anyone who doesn't realize that Bioware wouldn't do this is indeed stupid. If you think about it for more than 5 seconds, it becomes obvious.

Why would a game company spend money to run a sarcastic ad for DLC that they are not working on? At the same time, they actually ARE working on DLC that they hope fixes the poor public image they have taken on.

Why would someone try to pass of a disc as real when it obviously wouldn't be printed onto a retail disc yet?

Maybe I just don't understand the internet, but I don't feel like the OP is trying to pass anything off, as this is obviously something he made.

Yeah, Pokemon has needed a slightly more mature spinoff for years now. I would totally watch something like the vid posted, and I haven't watched the original Pokemon Anime in nearly 10 years.

No offense, but as someone who was once depressed enough to contemplate suicide, people you don't know or who do not understand an individual situation don't help. It was more of the "I don't get it, but you should go see a doctor" stuff that helped.

The first Schedule is up. I am thinking Release order for the first few. Depends on what people want though. The Fall of Reach is the natural starting point, since it is sort of the "intro to Halo" book.

One thing from the Prologue that hit me when I first read this book (and still does, now that I read it again) is the power of Master Chief wanting to stay on the bridge to see the planet get glassed. This is the first time we hear about this in any Halo Lore, and one of the first times we saw a human side to the MC (as the game did not do that). Glassing gets discussed with much more depth and power later in both this book, and other media, but it is still a little chilling how Nylund describes it. (Prologue, Pages 8 and 9)
