Does Facebook Wreck Marriages? - Real-Time Advice - SmartMoney by ltcolonelnemoin RAMSPEC

[–]ltcolonelnemo[S] 0 points1 point ago

"Even when extra-marital affairs develop with no help from Facebook, experts say the site provides a deceptively comfortable forum for people to let off steam about their lives and inadvertently arouse the suspicions of spouses. “The difference with Facebook is it feels safe, innocent and private,” says Randy Kessler, an Atlanta, Ga.-based lawyer and current chair of the family law section of the American Bar Association. “People put an enormous amount of incriminating stuff out there voluntarily.” It could be something as innocuous as a check-in at a restaurant, he says, or a photograph posted online."

I don't touch caffeine ever, am I missing out? by KennyLovesYouin Fitness

Don't worry about what other people are doing. Many people only think it works for them, and never talk about the bad side effects.

Looking for a way to make situps/crunches less 'boring' by Foezjiein Fitness

Plank your way to the ab roller. Start off with regular planks, do them for up to 2 minutes, then make them more difficult by increasing the height of your feet by placing them on a raised surface like a weight bench. When you get up to 2 minutes on heightened difficult mode, start doing the ab roller.

I don't touch caffeine ever, am I missing out? by KennyLovesYouin Fitness

No, you're not missing anything, except possibly being a caffeine addict, or possibly a person who occasionally uses caffeine as a crutch. If you notice that it affects you negatively, as it does a lot of people, then your self-awareness has already taken you in the right direction.

With fitness, slow and steady wins the race, and speed causes injuries that require you to start from scratch.

Yeah, but you're just an AI construct. You'd need to incarnate yourself into a body first.

Also, Adam has way more personality than JC Denton.

Actually, it does for me too. : - (

Yeah, but it doesn't have the range of JC's stealth pistol. Plus, JC is better looking and a hit with the ladies, whereas Adam is just an AFC with oneitis chasing around his ex-girlfriend, who's probably on Namir's robocock at every opportunity. : D

Yes, but only JC can turn a pistol into a no-scope sniper rifle with skills mastery.

Adam Jensen starts off almost as much of a wimp as Graham in King's Quest, who always would drown in a puddle of water.

Wow. I can totally relate to the "gave into the guilt" part. That's one of the main reasons I went. They made me feel guilty.

Stephen King and Warren Buffet Profess That They Still Haven't Figured Out That More Tax Revenue Equals More Military-Prison-Industrial Complex, Not More Allegedly Benevolent Social Services by ltcolonelnemoin RAMSPEC

[–]ltcolonelnemo[S] 0 points1 point ago

I'm so sick of reading these types of editorials. These people can't actually believe that the extra tax revenue will actually somehow be redistributed to the benefit of the non-wealthy. The vast majority of government spending goes to prisons, armies, law enforcement agencies, intelligence agencies, and all their crony contractors, who then protect the business models of the large business interests. And of the supposedly benevolent institutions like "education," the vast majority serve to basically enslave, indoctrinate, and otherwise occupy the young, so they don't get in the way.
