Yeah, at least I have a job right? Still, looking for a new one - probably going to do a PHD anyway (because I could happily work in a uni for the rest of my life, but I'm not so sure about the real world).

I've only got $8K left to pay off, and the manditory payment is only just over 10% of my paycheck, so not too bad. Will take a few years to pay off. I can't imagine what it is like knowing that there is just dead money on every check for the next 12 years :( I hope you end up in a job that makes you happy (sounds like you have already) and pays you well!

I might have minimal loans but I feel your US lost-generation pain in that after all this uni I still get paid a pittance, and can't find a job I actually want to do. In fact, I'm currently earning less with a Masters than I was with my BA.

This works in the opposite way as well. My dad owns a freight forwarding company and people commonly ask me what it would cost to ship x from a to b, or about import tarrifs/taxes

I don't work there, how am I supposed to know?

According to the EVGA website:

That was my other option but I read that the 7850 was a slightly better card overall, and after overclocking it becomes highly superior.

We don't get anything here that isn't named from an existing food/fruit/flavour, except for that Afzel 5-Star which is rubbish.

My go to flavours are all Al Fak: Double Apple, Watermelon, Pomegranate, Cherry, Pineapple.

I might be late to the game here, but I just wanted to add that I found what appears to be a permission removing app by accident the other day (literally searching for "plop" on Google when bored).

It appears that it's been removed from the Play Market but the .apk is available and is relatively recent. Unfortuntely the .apk is only available as the free version and this only lets you remove 1 permission per app.

If you like art check out the Modern Art Gallery. The building is absolutely fantastic and there is great art in there too! Old towns are great if you don't usually see that kind of stuff.

Perhaps jump on the 1/2 hour train to Aschaffenburg, it is a pretty cool little place with cobbled roads, etc.

I built it in early 2008, so it is a little over 4 years old now but still plays all the recent games I want to play (Bioshock, Portal 2, Hard Reset, etc).

I haven't tried a different sound output, what would you recommend?

Drivers are up to date.

Video card and sound were working absolutely fine 'till he ripped out the RAM.

Maybe it's time for a new PC, not much point in replacing the video card or motherboard really.

While I am not involved in a horror story myself, reading this I am absolutely appalled at the cost of US universities, it's absolutely ridiculous. The uni I went to here in NZ is not badly ranked (82 in QS) and our degrees are internationally recognised (so they say, and I hope).

I have a Masters degree in Geography and even if it wasn't for financial help and a scholarship, I'd only be $30,000NZD (approx $23,000USD) in debt for my entire university career.

How can I support you guys in sorting this shit out?
