I'd already ruled out suspension, and was under the impression that my driveshafts were ok. However, upon closer inspection, my u-joints do in fact need replacing. I'm going to check the diffs to be sure just in case though. I can check the hubs too, because I need to replace the brake pads and rotors, so I'll be in that neck of the woods next week as well.

Oh wow. Mine's a 2000 Land Rover P38 4.6. Also a project, although I'm not nearly as far along as you. I currently have custom sliders and a 3" sus-lift. Custom bumpers are in the pipe right now, along with winches etc. I've got 32"s now but I plan on upsizing a bit down the road. Current transmission ratios are 2.48, 1.48, 1.00, 0.73:1. Reverse: 2.09:1, Transfer box ratios 1.22:1 (hi-range), 3.27:1 (lo-range) and Differentials 3.54:1 ratio spiral bevel diffs. 4 spider gears on axles with traction control. I plan on upgrading the diffs to 4.10 or 4.75 gears with air lockers, however I may go for Detroit True Track instead. My rig isn't as much of a crawler as yours, more a trail rig instead.

Yesss that's the setup. I was going to put my secondary battery in my stock spare tire compartment in the trunk myself. As for the compressor, my vehicle already has the tank and airlines, I just need to locate the compressor underhood. How many batteries are you running?
