By your logic, if I use the sentence, "I'm bound by honor," then I must have a duty that I'm literally physically restricted from movement by. When I use a word, I'm not using all its definitions simultaneously. "What a queer little shop" doesn't mean that the shop has feelings for other shops, or is a different shop than it's portrayed as, in addition to being strange. Do you see how you're wrong?

I would find the area for the given arc length (theta*radius), then subtract twice the area of the triangle made by the radius of the semicircle, a side of the right angle touching the perimeter and the point-of-right-angle-to-semicircle's-center distance (there are two equal triangles mirrored across the last segment I listed).

I'm on my phone, so that's the best I can do, but with a little more thought, that's a sufficient tip, if you know the arc length.

okay, I'm off my phone now (I felt guilty giving such shitty help). So, I don't know if you know how to find the arc length, but it'll be pretty simple. Recognize that if you connect the two radii together with a straight line, you have an isosceles triangle whose two sides you know. If I'm right, you'll have to use both the law of sines and the law of cosines to finish the problem, but it shouldn't be too hard.

I'm gonna try to work it out myself.

Notice that first there is the whole, then half, then a quarter, an eighth, a sixteenth, ... for each cut that you've made. The remaining part is modeled by

where n is the total number of cuts made. Recognize that as you make more cuts, you're left with less and less of whatever you've cut into. In fact, what "should remain" after an infinite amount of cuts is the limit of 1 / (2ⁿ ) as n approaches infinity. This is zero, so if you could cut something in half an infinite number of times, you'd find that there would be nothing left to cut by the time you needed to make the "last" cut.

Of course, cutting something an infinite number of times can't be done from a feasibility standpoint, alone. However, it might interest you that some people think that the universe is in fact discrete and not continuous. If that's the case, there is no infinity-th (what is the ordinal form of infinity?) cut at all.
