Simple science. If you could pull that much air (from god-grade lungs) through the cigar then it should either put the cigar out or the tobacco will become so hot it will burst into flames.

While I enjoy smelling different cigars at my favorite B&M I'm always careful to do so without shoving them up my nose like a douche. It may not be a perfect gauge of flavour but I do it mostly out of habit. Also i generally remove the cigars from cello because I check for cracked wrappers or blemishes that I know will hinder my smoking experience.

I've found that most B&M employees will simply let you be so long as you're respectful and seem to know what you're doing.

I recall what an owner said when I commented on his service being superior to another shop I had visited. "This is a service business. You have no reason to need to come back through that door unless I make you want to." Cigarette outlets are the worst man! I've had a lot of disrespect from employees at them when I visited one on my campus.

Just for your consideration. A lot of people on this subreddit will bash CAO for their terrible inconsistency. Much like some Gurkha cigars they will vary in quality from stick to stick. Also the wrappers of CAO's products tend to be VERY thin in my experience.
