I've been rolling with a 4 player group of friends for the past few nights (monk/wiz/barb/dh), and this game is fantastic. Energy Twister + frost nova + shock pulse? I HOPE YOU FUCKERS LIKE DYING.

I also appreciated the difficulty ramp up; we were just kind of facerolling our way through act 1, then I got hit by something in the first champion pack in act 2 that dropped my health by half in a single blow. This is good!

Also, my wings of conspicuous consumption make people mad. p sure they jelly.

Oh, you're right. I'd searched for images for both, and for some reason all the samplings of wood ticks I'd found looked significant different (no white markings). Another search just now indicates that my previous attempt was inadequate.

It is not a spider, but a tick. I believe it's actually a dog tick (Dermacentor variabilis)~~, not a wood tick as another poster suggested~~. Also you are not likely to get lyme disease from these, but they are transmission vectors for other ailments.

If you have pets, you should look them over to make sure they're not hosting more of the little bastards. To remove them, use fine-pointed tweezers and grab the head, not the body (or use fine-tipped forceps). I give my dog comfortis to prevent his becoming infested.

They said PVP wouldn't be ready at release. If that was the most compelling aspect of the game for you, there is no penalty for you to wait to purchase until it's added in. I don't see the problem.

That excerpt actually struck me as really problematic. The position quoted is rooted in the idea that "feminism" is equated to "oppressing men" or some similar nonsense, which means that any actual conversation with this guy would be practically impossible. He is not using words that we share a common definition for--the "feminism" he talks about is some shadowy cartoon evil and is pretty completely divorced from how I suspect the overwhelming majority of self-identifying feminists understand it.

Too bad they didn't talk about the situation ahead of time or mitigate the effects of their shortcoming via some sort of queuing system or a more granular activation schedule, thereby breaching the trust of their most eager customers! It's not like "buy more servers" was the only alternative to "do nothing".

I honestly don't care too much--I'm not even home yet and I guess I'll be mildly annoyed if I can't log in tonight, but it probably won't ruin my day. I just thought the car analogies (in general and especially this one in particular) were ridiculous.
