Mr. Krugman,

This is more of a theoretical question, but do you think eventually civilizations will have to turn away from capitalism? The finite nature of the world does not allow for indefinite growth for thousands of years into the future, especially with the looming environmental crises looming in the near future.

If yes, then what do you think a sustainable future economy would look like?
