For those claiming the government already uses propaganda, it doesn't. Sure, there are recruiter tools or the standard 'officials lying to cover their ass', but what this would do is legalize the use of military Psychological Operations soldiers to directly influence the American populace. As a soldier in one of those units, most people would refuse to do any such thing. The military isn't all about blind obedience, despite what many claim.

I once put a pistol grip on a shotgun I have since sold, as it was primarily for home defense and that would make it easier to maneuver with in hallways and such. I knew to hip fire, but my genius buddy didn't. Ended up with a bloodly lip and many laughs from me and the other guys we were with.

Well drunk me managed to find one a very attractive girl, started dancing with her, and then discovered she is extremely nerdy. Texas allows military members to carry at 18. Thankfully for me, that made it so I could get my CHL far earlier than usual. Never any issues there either.

Things are getting better, which you don't realize. Laws banning sodomy are off the books. States cannot ban abortion, and reproductive rights are gaining support. Things are improving, and thanks to the federal government. Not the states, who if they had their way would probably still have segregation, at least the deep south would.

No one ever said they feds are perfect. Although 6+? I count one. DOMA is close to repeal. Equality will come and is close to coming on a federal level. It won't be long. The vast majority of Americans support it. Even the majority of young Republicans, although that is a slim majority. Otherwise we have the states that are run by religious radicals destroying long fought for liberties.

But how can you be fine with that? As things are now, the states cannot trample rights. Paul would want them to be able to. He may not directly want it, but that would be the result, and to claim otherwise is foolish.

Its called the Fourteenth Amendment, that incorporates the rights in the Bill of Rights to the state level. Clearly you haven't taken a Constitutional law course.

Oh really? Federal courts can't step in and stop states from legislating sex between consenting adults, destroying reproductive rights, all sorts of things. That's what that law would do.
