Well, I don't have kids, so please don't be angry when I say, that I think there's nothing wrong with spanking a kid due to bad behaviour, BUT I think it's bad to hit a child, just because it starts to get on your nerves. Also, the intensity of the punch plays a major role here.

My mom used to spank me when I was bad, but my dad literaly knocked me out when me and my brother woke him up to ask him something. Of course I see the differences but, I personally would go over and ask why they just hit their kid. Of course, parents should be respected, but still, they are just kids - they don't always know what their doing. I think the problem with this is, that words are not enough and beating is too much.
