Agreed. Someone emailed me this clip and said "still like the beach boys??" and I said "yeah...the Beach Boys are really just Brian".

If we weren't sure he was a moron based on the songs he wrote vs. the songs Brian wrote, we are sure now.

It shouldn't. Only 2 songs were written by Brian (not including Mount Vernon). Mount Vernon and Fairy Tale Music is great but most of Holland is just bland and boring. They're still writing about California while in Holland...meanwhile Brian was over the California thing like 12 years prior.

Moonlight Sonata movement 1 was a great piece for me to begin on. It's not too fast just technically difficult (close attention to detail/dynamics). I think it's a good piece for a beginner to learn some more advanced technique. I'm glad I started with that.

Helpful! I just meant that sort of song form like that 60s pop chord thumping style. Beach boys inspired I should have said.

There is no melody yet it's just chords and a bass line. And yeah perhaps the bass line is kind of bland I'll take another look at that.

My mom would drop hints about how a friend's kid is gay and how "if you or your sister were gay I would love you just the same I couldn't care less".
