I'm very interested in obtaining a dehydrator too. Is that the London Broil in the picture?

Question about COD: Elite Founder status by exmiin CallOfDuty

[–]II_F0XH0UND_II 0 points1 point ago

Hello exmi,

  1. Yes, the code is indeed system specific.
  2. Paying 40$ USD for founder status is a bit much, though I suppose that people are trying to make a quick dollar off of an extra code.
  3. The Founder status may have rewards in upcoming titles, so if you are a die-hard COD fan you may want to have it.

Founder’s benefits include:
- A Unique Founder Weapon Camo & Profile Skin for MW3
- Exclusive Found in-game Player Card & Emblem in MW3
- Access to the Private “#Founder” Group in Call of Duty ELITE
- A Special Founder Clan XP Boost
- Exclusive Founder Operations & Events

Edit: For the sake of explanation, Founder ≠ Premium. You'll need a premium subscription first, and then the Founder code.

I'm going to assume this was in regards to my statement.

It should be a given that a casual environment will supersede one that is strict and traditional. However his tweet isn't a call for universal enrichment, it's a solid decision about previous work which includes massive triple-A titles. In which much of the discussions and meetings, aside from press releases and interviews, must be done behind closed and controlled doors. If he's pushing for an indie title or IP, then I can see how this might work, but, like I stated earlier, it isn't appropriate for games like Call of Duty, Halo, or even Battlefield. Way too risky. I think Legal and PR would be on edge.

Because having a three-hour meeting in a possibly local restaurant for a triple A product is practical and appropriate. Bowling is a smart guy, I've met him, but this is a rather pointless tweet.

I agree that the Model 1887 dual attachment proficiency is a silly.

If you re-read the context of the discussion though you'll see that we are referring to creative design in respect to weapon choice and the era of a given Call of Duty title. I'm not excusing any particular developer for poor choices or actual oversights across the board.

[–]II_F0XH0UND_II 2 points3 points ago

Well, it's like the OP stated. Creative design has to happen and choices that stray away from real life shouldn't be considered "lazy." Perhaps fairly unorthodox, but never lazy.

It's good that you're passionate about something, but to assume that they don't do "some research" is as arrogant as saying everything you "know" was ripped off the pages of Wikipedia.

New game breaking AC-130 glitch discovered. Let's report this before it becomes a huge problem like the damage glitchers. by TheGreatDanin mw3

[–]II_F0XH0UND_II 0 points1 point ago

The community needs to shift it's reaction whenever such issues are found. We all understand, as gamers, that this is unfortunate and that being a "victim" of someone's douchebaggery sucks. What we don't need though is a video in which one simply says something to the effect of "fix your shit, fix it now or we aren't buying the next game." What should you include? How about the following...

  • The date and time this happened.
  • A link to the guy's gamertag.
  • Any information which may link him to additional users who are doing this. (Multi-bans are the best bans!)
  • Any information you can provide so that others can view the entire game.
  • Links and information on how users can report this situation and content to the proper people through the proper channels.

We as gamers need to shift back to the sensible and logical approach to these things. Asking people to spread a video filled with hyperbole just makes us look like spoiled brats. I bit of disappointment can be expressed, but simply ask for a speedy recovery and provide as much info as possible.

As a rather "new" player myself, I was just introduced to smart casting within the last week. It has made a HUGE difference for me. I can react fairly well with Ziggs. I do have his ult on smartcast, but it hasn't hindered me yet.

Do you seem to be behind everyone else in game? This is why. by Brandamanin mw3

[–]II_F0XH0UND_II 2 points3 points ago

The key thing to remember is that your download and upload speeds don't matter unless you're going to be a host. Lag is dependent on your ping.

[–]II_F0XH0UND_II 0 points1 point ago

Glad that this is recognizable to other players. Many of us suffer from other behaviors that are just as detrimental. CRS (Compulsive Reload Syndrome) get's me killed quite a bit.

What he's saying isn't entirely right. It also isn't entirely wrong. Like I've stated elsewhere, Anti-Lag has existed since COD2 and latency is a compounded issue that can't be universally conquered.

Do you seem to be behind everyone else in game? This is why. by Brandamanin mw3

[–]II_F0XH0UND_II 1 point2 points ago

Yes, people sprinting and rounding corners at a fast pace is the bane of any anti-lag situation. There is lag there, obviously, that is creating unfavorable events. If you're prone to a lot of lag see if you can open your ports and find a better DNS provider/service. Less hops/redirection is better.

I'd also like to state that on your clips, Brandaman, many of your deaths occur during or mid sprint in your first salvo of proof.

The second salvo, with your added delay, includes you rounding out corners, taking it slow and pre-firing like a pro.

You'll die more if you are constantly sprinting. Breaking a sprint and attempting to engage someone is almost a guaranteed death.
